Photocopies of scrapbooks assembled by Petr relating to Guadalcanal and World War II, veterans activities after the war, plus a few copies of pages from his diary written while he served on Guadalcanal with the Americal Division. Many men in Petr's U.S. Army unit came from northern Illinois because they served together in a local national guard unit before the war began.
